Better than expected

I bought this product purely on the saving I was making and in the belief that something that expensive must be good. I read the other reviews and decided on balance, I was probably better of making up my own mind. I was not dissapointed. Being a member of Her Majesties Armed Forces I shave every day to a high standard using the stealth system of blades. To be blunt, initially I was dissapointed with the result, but I did have over a weeks growth. But with patiance and learning to understand the contours and lines of my face coupled with the way my stubble grows I soon found that I could produce an effect equale to a razer and water - yep smooth as a babies bottom. The only thing... it took a few minutes longer. As for the cleaning system I read in one of the reviews on this site that it took 4 hours, hmm nope 4 minutes, I think that unit was broken! The actual feel and look is awsome, literally boys and there toys as my wife puts it. The charge countdown is accurate to the minute. I would recommend this product, unless of course you suffer from OCD then you'll only be happy when you decide your happy.

When I purchased the Philips RQ 1095 shaver I was already a user of Philips shavers. I had in the past tried foil shavers but having a heavy facial beard, found them unsatisfactory.

I was attracted to the RQ1095 because of the shape of the cutting heads and the fact it could be cleaned by running it under the tap daily.

The previous foil shavers used to clog up and run down quite quickly with my beard, despite being brushed out on a regular basis.

I am pleased to say the Philips RQ1095 has performed so far without fault. The heads reach my chin and neck and it is comfortable to hold.The display shows a usage time of 65 minutes when fully charged and after a weeks use still shows 42 minutes remaining.

It came with a cleaning bath that you are supposed to fill with Philips own cleaning solution and then leave it to whir and dunk itself before recharging. I use this once a week and rinse it under the taps daily.

It also has rigid plastic case to transport it when traveling which can also be plugged in to recharge it if necessary.

All in all, I consider it the best shaver I have bought so far.

I've been using an electric shaver for many years, Philips has always been my preference. This model shows the continued dedication to innovation and development. Most importantly Philips identifies the requirement for a perfect close shave together with ease of use and cleanliness.

Superb Shave

I have had Philips shavers for many years but the time came for a replacement and my son had bought this new Philips shaver and recommended me to buy one. I did and I am absolutely delighted with it. It gives an excellent shave to the whole of my face including my neck and a must buy is the self cleaning kit that comes as an extra. Well worth it.
